Captain Henry's Pirate Store Holds SurprisesNow Open at Lloyd Center Saturday, May 17, 2008 Portland finally has its very own Pirate Store, packed with pirate themed gifts, novelties, flags, hats, costumes, toys, party supplies, and fun offered up by the staff from Scream at the Beach, the Northwest's top ranked Halloween event. Located inside the mall next door to Macy's and the ice skating rink, this is not be an ordinary store with aisles of shelves and display racks. This looks more like something out of an amusement park. Pirate ships, large scale sets and costumed guest services personnel create a fun atmosphere that's as much fun to explore as the merchandise is to play with. It is the only pirate store serving the metro area, saving local pirate club members from a long trip to the coast or to Seattle to buy period clothing and supplies. Plus, since pirates is one of the most popular themes for parties, local party planners will find all the supplies they need for birthdays and special occasions at one location. The store will also be used to promote local pirate shows and events, including selling tickets to Scream at the Beach.
