New Guest Check-in System
June 27, 2010
What's the one thing that guests dislike the most about their visit to an amusement park? The long lines!
Now that so many guests visit Scream at the Beach each season, the planners have used some magic to create a new method for checking in guests in such a way that no one will have to stand in any lines.
Here's how it works:
- When you arrive you will pass through an entry gate where you will receive a group number.
- Scattered around the event site will be monitors that display the group numbers. When your number appears on the monitors, it's your turn to tour the haunted house.
- If you miss your turn, simply enter the haunt when you are ready and we will be happy to accommodate you.
- You will pay for admission as you enter the haunted house.
Questions & Answers
Q: How long will it take to reach my group number?
A: Each group number will be displayed for about 3 minutes. That's how long it will take for us to welcome each group into the haunted house. Simply multiply the difference between your number and the one displayed on the monitor by 3 and you will know approximately how long it will be until your number should appear.
For example: if your number is 25 and the one being displayed is 15, take the differencein this case 10 (25-15)and multiply it by 3 (10x3). Your answer is 30. What this means is that you are free to roam the event site, exploring all the amenities, loose your lunch on some rides, or enjoy a show for at least 30 minutes. Keep an eye on the monitor though, just in case we are able to move things along a little faster, or in case it takes longer than normal.
Q: What if I want to tour more than once?
A: Sometimes guests have so much fun that they want to tour a second time, or some want to experience a different ending to the haunted house (there are more than one to pick from). We are always happy to accommodate you more than once!
There is no need to get a new group number. Simply join any group that is entering the haunt, using your same group number. (Once your number has passed, you are free to enter the haunt at any time, including more than once.) Pay for admission as you enter the haunt, and enjoy screaming again!
VIP Entry Gate
You do not need to check in at the entry gate to receive a group number if you have a VIP Ticket. Go directly to the VIP Entry Gate with your tickets and ID. The VIP Entry Gate is next to the main entry gate, inside Halloween Town. Enter here if you are holding a VIP Ticket that you purchased online, or if you want to check on the availability of VIP Ticket's for purchase. There are a limited number of these tickets each night, so be sure to buy yours in advance if you want to ensure getting them.
VIP Ticket holders will be taken into the haunted house immediately. The exception is if everyone who purchased VIP Tickets were to show up at once. In this unlikely situation, we will take you into the haunt in groups a few at a time, but your wait will typically still be shorter than the main entry gate.
